The Governor of Huambo, Kundi Paihama, met today, Thursday, with Portugal’s Ambassador to Angola, João da Câmara, to examine the possibilities of investment of Portuguese companies in this region, especially those in the construction business, technology and logistics.

Speaking to the press at the end of the meeting, João da Câmara, who was accompanied by 16 Portuguese businessmen, recognized the economic potential of the province of Huambo, as a factor that can facilitate the implementation of future partnerships.

Said that his coming to this region of the country aimed at fundamentally strengthen cooperation with local authorities, in order to facilitate the contact with Portuguese companies interested to settle in the province.

According to the diplomat, the cooperation with provincial authorities, in particular with the Governor regarding the Portuguese investment is made, being now the responsibility of entrepreneurs the identification of areas for action.

“The purpose of my visit, in addition to bringing new investors, goes through the extension of investment demand of companies already established in the region, with a particular highlight for the civil construction, being the more visible,” he stressed.

In the afternoon, João da Câmara will visit the local library, Angolaca companies, Monte Car Service, as well as to Raise Group’s Quarry, all of them Portuguese.
